PRISONERS IN THEIR HOMELAND

In the red-hot land of Middle-East
raises a territory, a strip of land
called GAZA STRIP.

All the colours of the Palestinian flag
are assembled in a surreal chess game;
blocked by a grid are the unfortunate Palestinian inhabitants
who cannot get out from their homeland.

Prophetic bars of an unjust imprisonment
are the cardinal points:
an impressive wall at East
a border with Egypt to the South,
another with Israel at North-East,
the Mediterranean sea to the South.

Military check-points and warships' sea blockade
are preventing the population to escape.

Nobody can enter
nobody can get out
and a military bombing would be fatal.

No way out
no escape
or maybe...the sky?
